A joyful ritual with lots of dance, masked men, and Indian-inspired music in Yutagawa Onsen's hot spring village.

The festival celebrates the consecration of the Shonai Shrine in 1877. The Shonai Shrine worships the souls of the old lords of the Shonai Domain: the Sakai family. On the second day of the festival, the shrine organizes historical parades representing the Shonai Clan during Edo period.
