To go there by bus, get on the shuttle bus bound for Mt. Yudono (bus timetable) and get off the bus at Yudonosan Senninzawa.

You can go to Mt. Yudono on foot by hiking Mt. Gassan down to Mt. Yudono (details) or by hiking the Rokujurigoe Kaido Pilgrimage route (details).

A shrine in Mt. Yudono dedicated to agriculture, fertility and plentiful harvests.

Where the monks used to accomplish their sokushinbutsu training.

Also called "The Realm of the Dead", or "The Mountain of the Past", Mt. Gassan is the most important step in the Dewa Sanzan's yamabushi training.
